Jean-Pierre Forage, M.D.
Jean-Pierre Forage, M.D. received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1983. He moved to Austin and began private practice after completing his surgical residency in 1988 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, which included training at Brackenridge Hospital.
Dr. Forage has special interest in surgical oncology, including colon cancer, melanoma, breast disease and laparoendoscopic surgery. He has held the position of President of the American Cancer Society, as well as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at South Austin Hospital Society. He is currently Chairman of the Ethics Committee at South Austin Hospital. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the International College of Surgeons. He also has membership in the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Forage recently completed training for the endoscopic fundoplication procedure, a new procedure used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). The procedure involves no general anesthesia, no incisions, and is performed as an outpatient in less than 1/2 hour. |

Syed Sameer Mohiuddin, M.D.
Dr. S. Sameer Mohiuddin is Board Certified in General Surgery and is Fellowship-trained in Advance Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He completed medical school at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences followed by a General Surgery residency at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth- Univ. of North Texas Health Sciences Center. His fellowship was completed at the Texas Endosurgery Institute in San Antonio, Texas under the tutelage of Dr. Morris Franklin.
Prior to private practice Dr. Mohiuddin served as faculty at the University of Texas at San Antonio Health Science Center and the Veteran's Affairs Hospital. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Mohiuddin is also the Director of the Minimally Invasive Surgery Center at Seton Medical Center Hays. Dr. Mohiuddin was the first surgeon in Hays County to perform Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery using the latest advancements in surgery. |

Jim Schlotter, M.D.
Dr. Schlotter has specialized in general and vascular surgery since 1989. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Texas in 1976, he attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, graduating in the top 10% of his class.
Dr. Schlotter did post-graduate training at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. He then completed a general surgery residency in 1989 and was a chief resident at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr. Schlotter has a special interest in peripheral vascular surgery. He is Board Certified with the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American College of Phlebology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Schlotter is a native Texan and has been in private practice in San Marcos since 1992. |
